Thanks to all the Stallion owners and stallion service buyers for keeping this auction a fun and exciting event. We appreciate all of your support you've given us through the years. We hope it continues to be as rewarding for you as it has been for us. We look forward to seeing those babies. Howdy Everyone!

We welcome you to the 2008 Lead N Lope Futurities Stallion Service Auction.  As always a big THANK YOU to all stallion owners, both past and present, who have donated a service to their stallion.

Please fill out your stallion forms and return them as soon as possible.  The deadline to insure a place in the catalog is January 15, 2008.   This doesn’t allow very much time but we need to get the catalog out and it seems if we send the form out too early people tend to put them aside and forget to send them back in time.  January 15 is the deadline!   Any we receive after that date will be put in the supplement.  No Exceptions.

This year we are going to list the stallions in the catalog in the order we receive them and they will sell in that order at the auction.  The auction will again be held at Tobies Restaurant in Hinckley, MN on February 17 at 1:00 p.m.

Just a reminder to everyone – in order to show your horses at the futurity show this fall, you will have to have your horse’s original registration papers the day of the show – NO EXCEPTIONS!  Nothing else!  This will be enforced.  This is for the fairness of everyone and also makes for less problems and paperwork for us.

There are a couple of changes on the stallion nomination form; 1) the chute fee, if you charge one, has a $100 limit. 2) if you are leasing a stallion, we need proof of the lease agreement.  Also, don’t forget to check how you want the selling fee to be distributed; 100% halter, 100% performance or 50/50. 

If you cannot make it to the auction and don’t know for sure if your stallion’s service will sell, you can send a check for the starting bid of $150 yourself.  Then you can either keep it for yourself and show 2 foals or you can sell it too!  This will be the cheapest time to buy it if it doesn’t sell that day.  Remember, if your stallion(s) fee does not sell, his foals are not eligible to show.

As always we keep trying to have a futurity for all of us that is as fair and honest as we possibly can.  We are very pleased with the quality of horses this futurity offers and the comments we have received.  A lot of credit goes to you the stallion owners who have helped up make it all possible.  So with fairness, honesty, and good sportsmanship we can keep it going strong.

Merry Christmas All - Stallion owners will be receiving nomination forms within the week and catalogs will be produced approx. Jan 20th.  The LNL Stallion Auction is set for Feb 17th at Tobies Restaurant in Hinckley. The doors open at 11am and the auction starts at 1pm.     Can't wait to see everyone there :)

REMINDER: All Weanlings Need To Have Registration Papers in Hand by Show Day- it would be advised to start your registration application process no later than September 1st to ensure you will be eligible for the futurity. If you need help please contact us. We will not accept "on application". You have plenty of time to get this done, so don't delay.

WEANLING CLASSES- the split

The weanling classes will be separated by birth date into the early and late classes about 15 minutes before the start of the show. We only have a little less than a two months, so get to that halter breaking!!

A few more stallions were purchased - Dixons Scotishlark, Kiddin My Maid, Misters Golden Edge, Elegant Statement and Mr Red Sierra. Only 11 days to go till the half price fees are no longer available so give us a call or email if you are interested in buying a stud fee before the deadline -  April 1st.

Welcome to Lead N Lope's official news page. Our comments box at the 2007 Stallion Auction has helped us to adjust some aspects of our sale. Next year we will be drawing the stallion selling order at an earlier date and printing the catalog in selling order instead of by stallion owner and breed. We think this was a great comment and we appreciate everyone's feedback. We hope you all enjoyed the sale and we look forward to an even bigger and better one next year.
